“We were looking for an evaluation for our twin two-year-old girls. They weren’t talking. Speech therapy had been going on for almost a year, and we still weren’t seeing progress.
We were having trouble finding local help and were referred to Clear Child Psychology. By this time, the girls were almost 3.
Clear Child Psychology got us scheduled quickly and did diagnostic evaluations with our girls. They said that our girls appeared to be very observant and bright and that they have some challenges with compliance, social communication, and language.
Both twins were diagnosed with autism, and Clear Child Psychology recommended that we start in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. We went on to get ABA for 15-20 hours per week and reached out for a re-evaluation before the girls started kindergarten this year.
Wow, telling Clear Child Psychology about the girls’ progress in their social skills and language got me so choked up! It’s so amazing. We recently heard our daughters say, “I love you” for the first time. They can ask for what they need and share stories about the things they love.
During the re-evaluation, the girls (now age 4) spoke constantly during the interview. They were able to share about how much they love Disney princesses and superheroes.
