This is a beginner to intermediate training dedicated to autism diagnosis and rule out. Emphasis here is on childhood, ages 1-17 but information is introduced for adult populations in some areas. Licensed psychologists currently doing autism assessment and rule out who wish to refresh and update their knowledge of autism assessment, licensed psychologists who are interested in expanding their knowledge of autism assessment and rule out, or referring clinicians (counseling psychologists, school psychologists, clinical or neuropsychologists) who treat or screen children for mental health concerns will benefit from this training.

Anna Kroncke PhD and Marcy Willard PhD are both licensed psychologists and nationally certified school psychologists. Dr. Kroncke received her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2006. Dr. Willard received her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Denver in 2012. They are the primary authors of the textbook: Assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder: Critical Issues in Clinical, Forensic and School Settings. The book has been downloaded over 30,000 times on Springer since its release in 2016. Both have worked extensively in the field of autism assessment with children as young as 1 year old and adults as old as 65.
Dr. Willard and Dr. Kroncke are pioneers in the burgeoning field of autism assessment with 10,000 combined hours conducting these evaluations. They are currently in clinical practice with CLEAR Child Psychology and are the authors of the free website cleape.com “knowing what’s the matter” for parents and other individuals concerned about a child’s mental health. In their practice Dr. Willard and Dr. Kroncke conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, consult with parents, individuals and schools and offer training and resources to psychologists. They are developing software for psychologists who conduct evaluations ruling in or out Autism Spectrum Disorder.
